Kumihimo Disk is made of an elastic material - foam. It is modeled on Marudai. Kumihimo is a Japanese method of weaving. Braided ropes, cords and tapes are made by interlacing threads and cords according to the scheme described in the attached instructions. Kumihimo technique apply, among others, to create jewelry.
Disk Kumihimo has 32 notches, which are used for tensioning strings during weaving. At its widest point the disk is 17,5 cm in diameter. After the center of the disk is a circular hole having a diameter of 3 cm. At the center of the disk is a circular hole with a diameter of 3 cm. In addition, in order to facilitate the laying of strings, the disk is divided into eight equal parts. Each part is marked with a black dot and edging of the mat. Braids made on this Kumihimo are round.
